Amanora Park Town celebrates 'Joy of Giving' week 2010
Amanora Park Town in association with Navkshitij, a &ldquo;Home for Mentally Challenged Friends&rdquo; (MCF) conducted a Musical and dance programme at the Pawar Public School at Amanora Park Town, to celebrate the culmination of the 'Joy of Giving' week 2010. Hindi and Marathi playback singer Bela Shende and other dance troupes performed at the event. On this occasion, Mr. Aniruddha Deshpande, Managing Director, Amanora Park Town said, &ldquo;This is one way to give back to the society and it feels great to do so. I am looking forward to helping Navkshitij in the future as well.&rdquo;&nbsp; Being observed from the 26</span><sup>th</sup>of September to the 2<sup>nd</sup> &nbsp;of October, the 'Joy of Giving' week was marked by voluntary acts of charity across all sections of society to bridge the gap between them.&nbsp;Amanora Park Town, along with Navkshitij, collected a donation of Rs 25 lakhs through this event. This is perhaps the largest amount collected on the occasion of the 'Joy of Giving' week in Pune, thanks to the generous contributions from the general public, from associates, and from employees of Amanora. <strong>About Amanora Park Town</strong> Amanora Park Town is the first township being developed by City Corporation Limited, under the Special Township Policy of the Government of Maharashtra. The developers will be responsible for the maintenance of all public utilities, making them more efficient to facilitate a hassle-free life. Located at Hadapsar, Amanora Park Town is spread over 400 acres and will be a self-containing property, having schools, colleges, hospitals, restaurants and a sports complex within the township. The first offering of Amanora Park Town has 10 towers, each between 18-22 storeys high.&nbsp; <strong>About Navkshitij</strong> Navkshitij &nbsp;is a registered five-year-old NGO, offering permanent residence for mentally challenged adults referred to as mentally challenged friends. Its main aim is the holistic rehabilitation of these adults.&nbsp; What differentiates Navkshitij from other similar institutions, is that it offers complete care for mentally challenged adults, during their entire lifetime.
