On the occasion of Women’s Day, Pune Municipal Corporation organized Women cancer screening Camps in Pune City. It covered 42 Prabhag,162 wards in 28 days.3rd March to 30th March 2018. In these 28 days 47 camps were held and 4100 women were successfully screened for Breast cancer,Cervical cancer and oral cancer. For the first time in Pune or in Maharashtra such kind of activity is organized and executed successfully. All the screening tests were done by Dr.Shekhar Kulkarni’s Aastha Breast Cancer Support Group.
We are very proud as we i.e Amanora Yess Foundation has played very important role in this Unique ,Needbased activity . This idea was proposed by us ,we gave this proposal to Pune Municipal Corporation ,got it sanctioned with vigorous followup. We design all the camp schedule with the help of Chief Medical Officer and also helped in promotion of this activity to all the Corporaters ,medical officers & public.
We are the pioneer of Smart City. This cancer Screening activity is a small contribution in Pune`s women health.
