This first edition of Sakal Beauty of Maharashtra was launched by Sakal who brought this beauty pageant to Maharashtra keeping a social cause in the picture, EDUCATION FOR GIRL CHILD. This pageant highlighted the importance that a girl child when given wings to her dreams, can achieve milestones, and reach beyond!
As the beauty pageant moved through the eight cities, a team of judges, well known in the entertainment and fashion industry shortlisted four girls from every city to be a part of a mega finale in Pune and were given an opportunity to shine. Winners received the golden opportunity of starring in the upcoming movies of accomplished directors!
